Queen Beryl is the ruler of the Negaverse. She destroyed the Moon Kingdom of the past trying to take over the universe. Sent into the future and sealed into the Negaverse by the dying Queen Serenity,
she is once again trying to unleash the negaforce so that she can take over the world. She sends her four generals to steal energy to help her goals. She also seeks to find her seven shadow warriors and the Silver Imperium Crystal. The Crystal is the only thing that might thwart her goals.
Jedite was the first of Queen Beryl's generals. He tried to take energy from large groups of people but was continualy thwarted by the sailor scouts. For his failure he was destroyed.
Nephlite was the second general, he prefered to take just one person's energy. Utilizing astrology he would find a person close to their energy peak and try to steal their energy. He also used a black crystal to try to find the Silver Imperium Crystal.
His downfall was his weak spot for Sailor Moon's friend Molly. Zoisite kidnapped Molly to get the black crystal. He was killed trying to save her.
Zoisite was the third general. After killing Nephlite she used the black crystal to find the seven rainbow crystals hidden inside of the seven reborn shadow warriors.
Working closely with Malacite she managed to secure three of the crystals, though Sailor Moon turned all of the warriors back to human (and in one case, cat). Zoisite was killed by Queen Beryl when she disobeyed her order to capture Tuxedo Mask and tried to kill him instead.
Malacite took over after his partner Zoisite was killed. He set up several elaborate plans to try to unmask the Moon Princess. Most often these plans were foiled by his supposed compatriot the brainwashed Prince Darien/Tuxedo Mask. He was finally killed by Sailor Moon when she and her fellow scouts went into the Negaverse to confront Queen Beryl.
