Book of Aliens

Alan (Ail in the orginal Japanese) and Ann came to Earth shortly after the destruction of Queen Beryl. It was because of the threat they posed to the earth that the Sailor Scouts re-awoke. The Aliens arrived with a desperate mission, to gather energy to survive.

The two aliens decided to pose as brother and sister and go to the local high school to better blend in. After scoping out a target for their energy harvesting Ann would pick a card and Alan would pipe a cardian in to being. The cardian would gather energy and deliver it to the tree.

The pair arrived on Earth with their Doom Tree. The Tree was dying, which left them in a dire straits. The tree was what kept them alive, processing the energy the harvested (read stole) and feeding it back to them. Without this energy they would weaken and die.

Even though the two had serious things to think about didn't stop them from getting distracted now and then. The most notable examples would be the crushes they developed on Serena and Darien. Even though Alan and Ann love each other deeply, they got caught up in these infatuations. But in the end, when the Doom tree speaks out and strikes out against the evil it is being fed, when it is reduced to a mere seedling by Sailor Moon, that this love they feel teaches them how to hope.
