Sailor Mercury Sailor Mercury is a valient and clever warrior. While other scouts use strength or will to overcome foes, this Sailor uses her brain. Sailor Mercury is the smartest Sailor Scout, with an IQ nearing that of a genius. But Mercury isn't just smart, she works hard too. Sailor Mercury is actually Amy, the girl genius of Crossroads Junior High. She goes to cram school everyday, and is often at least 10 chapters ahead in her school work. She may have natural abilities, but she's honed them with time and effort. While a fine student, Amy often finds she is too serious for the rest of her classmates. Jealous that she always scores first on exams and because she spends so much time studying, Amy often found herself excluded from her own peers. But Serena draws her into having fun, almost teaching her how to play and have a good time.

But Amy never forgets her goal of becoming a doctor like her mom. She also finds time to help out the other scouts with their studying. She also spends a great deal of time studying their foes to find their weak spots. She uses her VR Visor and mini-computer to discover negaverse plots and it helps her to foil them as well. Most of this Sailor's special attacks are not to physically damaging, so she must use them cunningly to make them effective. Amy spends a lot of time on school work and scout business. It doesn't leave her a lot of time for socializing but it did get her one admirer, a young man named Greg, who thought she was just wonderful. Greg knew she was Sailor Mercury because he was born with the ability to know the future. Greg didn't think himself worthy of Amy, and Amy was to shy to admit she liked him too. She was afraid she'd ruin their friendship. It took Greg having his life threatend by the negaverse to prove that she did care for him and just how powerful she could be on her own. She defeated Prince Darien (while he was brainwashed by the negaverse) all on her own. Besides her mind, visor and mini computer, Sailor Mercury does have special powers to help her defeat the negaverse. She says these phrases to activate her powers:

Mercury Power Amy says this to transform into Sailor Mercury. Mercury Bubble Blast Amy says this in order to generate a mist fog that reduces the visual range of enemies. This confuses them, making them more susepitable to other scouts' attacks. Mercury Star Power Amy says this to transform into Sailor Mercury. Mercury Ice Bubble Freeze Amy says this to use her bubbles to freeze an opponent. Mercury Ice Storm Blast Amy says this to generate a massive freezing attack. This will usually freeze opponents and/or objects, preventing them from moving.
