The Tendo Dojo | |
|
The Tendo Dojo, home of the School of Idiscriminate Grappling Martial Arts Technique, seems to be a focal point for most of the story of Ranma 1/2. The home of the Tendo's and Ranma and Genma's current abode, this house draws more than it's share of damage. One must wonder how much it costs to constantly be repairing the walls, ceiling, floor, bathroom fixtures, ect. that random rampages through the house and garden cause. Unlike most animated series, the layout of this house is quite definite. |
If one wanted to take the time, you could map out the floorplan of the house in detail. The house consists of 2 levels, and a dojo that is connected to the house. The first floor contains the living room, the dining room, the kitchen and laundry. The second level contains the 3 girls rooms, the bathroom and Ranma and Genma's room. Off of the dining room is a small porch opening into the small lawn/garden in the left side of the house. Out one the lawn is a small collection of trees and shrubs and a convienetly placed carp pond. This pond is very useful for dunking cursed persons. The actual dojo is seperated from the house and located to the side of the house. This is possibly the one location in the whole house/compound that sees the least damage due to brawls and fights oddly enough. The dojo is fenced off from the walkway, making people have to enter the house to get to the dojo. The entire house is surrounded by a high white wall. Since the house is located on a corner, the wall only shares two of its sides with neighbors. One must wonder what the neighbors must think of this house and all it's strange goings on. | |
