Minor Characters
The Tick: The People | The
Places | The Plot
.
Name: Mayor Blank
As Mayor of the City, Mayor Blank has proved himself the typical civil servent. He can always be counted on to pay any ransom a super villian might demand. Though luckily, since the Tick moved into town he hasn't actually lost any money. A fact he was wel
l aware of when he built the statue to The Tick when the city believed the superhero lost in space.
Name: Sally Vacumm
Sally Vacumm was the primary newscaster for Channel 17 News in The City. She was often seen at the scene of any major superhero hulaballoo cheerfully reporting the facts and giving improptu interviews with Die Fledermaus. She was last seen trying to get a
n interview with the infamous Blowhole the cross-country whale. Unfortunately her microphone cable got wrapped around him and she was dragged off for parts unknown.
Name: Carmelita Vatos
Carmelita wears a moth suit just like Arthur's. In fact both suits were created by Carmelita's father J.J. Eureka. She is Arthur's love interest and they have met up a couple of times. Once Arthur even took her on a real full-fledged date to a movie. This
ended with him being kidnapped by the Deertown Aztecs and being rescued by Carmelita. Tick is rather freaked out by Carmelita, she's so like Arthur but so not! The Tick mostly seems jealous of Arthur's interest in Carmelita, but he also doesn't
seem to deal well with the fact that she's a girl. She especially freaked him out when she kissed him.
Name: Dot
Dot is Arthur's sister and is now married to Dinosaur Neil. Dot orignally didn't approve of Arthur's decsion to become a sidekick. She felt accounting was a much better profession. And besides all that she doesn't particularly like or approve of the Tick.
But she has come to accept Arthur's unusual lifestyle and let's Arthur borrow her care on all those terribly vital out-of-town missions. (such as when The Tick and Arthur went to The Comet Club)
Name: Captain Sanity and Taft
Captain Sanity is the head psychiatrist at Captain Sanity's Superhero Sanatorium. Literally. Just a severed head in a belljar, Captain Sanity administers his own brand of psycho-therapy to the Superhero community. This usually involves Taft dressing up in
silly costumes and dukeing it out with the superhero in question. Taft himself is a mystery...but a cool one. He's got a mustache and seems to have a nifty neat disco beat follow him everywhere. Keen!
