Cologne is Shampoo's Great-Grandmother and one of Ranma's most formidable enemies. In all encounters with her he has only just barely defeated her complicated plots and techniques. One has to wonder however if this isn't the clever woman's intention, as every time Ranma comes away from one of their bouts with a new and powerful skill or ability. It seems that Cologne is more grooming him to be a suitable husband for Shampoo then actually losing to him. It is heavily implied that no one can truely beat Cologne if she doesn't want to be beaten. She is also the only person known to be able to defeat Happosai.
